You may be aware that a famous writer like Michael Chabon grew up in Longfellow and that the best-selling novelist Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie spends half the year in Columbia, but do you know about the surprising number of local authors working in our community? The U.S. publishing ecosystem is a vast pyramid, with thousands of serious writers striving to have their work published every year. Howard County’s literary magazine, the Little Patuxent Review, is a vital part of that system.
The Little Patuxent Review is sponsoring an evening in which they’ll interview four authors who live in Columbia. On Wednesday, November 12, in a highly interactive session, four of our local authors will talk about their work, their methods of publishing, and their ambitions.
All those signing up on Eventbrite will receive a new LPR “classic edition”.
