Hickory Ridge Village Board Meeting
On Saturday, April 27 from 9 am-Noon we will have shredding and electronic recycling trucks in the parking lot of The Hawthorn Center. Residents may bring up to 3 bags or boxes of paper per household for shredding. (No business shredding, please.) Items accepted for electronic recycling include computers & desktop components, cell phones, office equipment, televisions and more – see below for a full list. New this year: there is NO FEE for televisions!
This event is free for Hickory Ridge residents. If you live outside of Hickory Ridge or on an outparcel (no CPRA), you will be charged a $3 entrance fee. Please be prepared to show proof of address.

Bring the little ones to The Hawthorn Center to enjoy some classic stories and meet other parents/grandparents/caregivers in your neighborhood. Free! Coffee and kid-friendly snacks provided. No registration required – just show up ready for fun!
This month: In honor of Jazz Appreciation Month, we’ll be exploring jazz music through stories and songs.
Note: this month Story Hour takes place on a Tuesday.

What is dotting? It’s art, it’s meditation, and it’s lots of fun! Learn the basics of dotting at this fun and relaxing workshop on Thursday, May 2 from 7-9 pm at The Hawthorn Center. Local artist Sheryl Berger will walk you through step-by-step instructions to create beautiful art beginning with a simple dot. Leave with a completed 4×4 canvas, instruction workbook, and all skills needed to continue the journey on your own. $35 per person. All supplies included, as well as wine/beverages and snacks. Kids 12+ may participate with an accompanying adult. Advance registration is required and space is limited. Click below to register now!
