Have you installed a rain garden on your property? Learn how to keep it functioning properly at this FREE seminar hosted by the Hickory Ridge Watershed Committee on Thursday, March 28 at 7pm at The Hawthorn Center.
Jenny Wienckowski, a Landscape Architect from Howard Eco-Works, will share easy approaches for maintaining your rain garden with minimal work. She will help you identify your plants and advise you how to keep them healthy. If some of your plants didn’t make it through the winter, she’ll recommend others to replace them. Jenny will instruct you so that your garden continues to keep harmful polluntants out of our streams while ensuring your own lawn is not eroded.
This event is free and open to all! RSVP is appreciated: please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 410-730-7327.
Help us to keep Hickory Ridge looking great by participating in Columbia Cleanup Day! Residents of all 10 villages will spend the morning cleaning up public Open Space areas on Saturday, March 30. Check in at The Hawthorn Center between 9 and 10am – we’ll provide gloves, trash bags, snacks, and a thank you gift. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing & footwear.
Please RSVP if you’re bringing a group; otherwise just show up!
